Why Wood-Pressed Oil Is Naturally Rich

Wood-pressing is one of the oldest ways to make oil, and it turns out the old way is also the healthiest. Here's why wood-pressed oil is naturally richer than the refined oil most of us grew up with.
1. Low-temperature extraction
Unlike refined oils, which involve heat and chemicals, wood-pressed oil is extracted at temperatures below 35°C. This prevents nutrient degradation and retains essential fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants.
2. No chemical processing
Since no solvents or artificial preservatives are used, the oil stays pure and free from harmful residues.
3. It keeps its natural aroma & flavour
Most refined oils undergo bleaching, deodorising and hydrogenation, which strip away beneficial compounds like tocopherols (vitamin E) and polyphenols. Wood-pressed oils retain these bioactive compounds — which is exactly why they smell and taste like the seed they came from.
4. Sun filtration, not chemicals
Wood-pressed oil is typically sediment-filtered rather than chemically processed, preserving its natural aroma, flavour and health benefits.
Put simply: nothing is added, and nothing good is taken away.
